Black Friday 2020! – This Friday is RSD Black Friday! We will have a bunch of the limited titles available (list below!). Obviously we will have to do things a little differently this year than most…so here’s how it will go!
We will NOT be opening our doors for browsing as normal until we have made our way through the lineup of people here for RSD releases. Each person will be handed a “menu” of RSD titles that we have available (bring your own pen!). It will have the title, price, and a check box. Check off which title(s) you are interested in, and we will collect the sheets and start putting orders in bags. One by one we will have people come in to pay for their orders. This year we will have to very strictly limit all titles to one copy per household until we are through with the lineup. This means if your significant other or children want to have their own copy, it’s tough luck! To alleviate confusion, your household can buy as many titles as they like, but only one copy of each title! We highly encourage you to look at information on the titles you are interested in in advance on the Record Store Day website as you will not be able to browse the stock in advance of purchase. All sales for RSD titles are final, so be sure to research what you’re buying!
Don’t forget to bring your own pen (we will not be providing them), and a mask (no mask, no records!). Also please keep a 2m distance between each other in line! We hope we can still make this enjoyable in these weird times! We’ll be opening at 10am, but may start filling the orders earlier than that to get the line moving!
We will not be accepting any phone or web orders at all for these titles. In store only! Sorry!
Supply for Black Friday this year is, quite frankly, terrible. Two of the major labels seemingly dropped the ball pretty hard this year, and MANY titles have not shipped yet. Hopefully we’ll have an update on those soon, but we are waiting to hear ourselves!
